DCC Women’s Basketball Coach selected in National Coaching Library
DCC Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Romeo Lagmay, Jr.,(pictured right motivating point guard Alexis Clingingsmith) has been selected by the WBCA (Women’s Basketball Coaching Association) as a contributor to their National Coaching Library for 2016-2017. Coach Lagmay is one of 3 successful national coaches giving tips on How to Motivate Student Athletes.
This is not the first time Coach Lagmay has been in the national news of the WBCA. As an active member, he has been a regular presenter and speaker at the annual Women’s Final Four Basketball Convention since 2011-2015. Currently, Lagmay serves as a member of the Convention Advisory Group as well as the chair of Region 7, representing a panel for the Junior College/Community College Coach of the Year.
In addition to the coaching video library, Lagmay has also been selected as a 2016-2017 Mentor and Facilitator from a group of coaches at the high school to collegiate level.
Lagmay stays active with professional memberships in the Montana Coaches Association and the Asian Coaches Association. He has also held longtime memberships in the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) and Advocates for Athletic Equity.
