DCC’s Shedden named to NJCAA All- Region Team
The National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIII announced their All-Region team for this past Men’s Basketball Season. Dawson Community College’s Daniel Shedden was selected to the 8 man team. Shedden is a 6’4 sophomore who hails from Puntarenas, Costa Rica. This past season he led the Buccaneers with 17.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.9 spg and 1.1 bpg. He scored over 20 points in 9 games and surpassed 30 points twice this season.
DCC Basketball Coach Peterson had this to say, "I'm excited for Daniel to receive this honor. His work ethic is second to none. He give maximum effort in practice and games and spends a lot of extra time on his own in the gym working on his game. He was our most consistent player from start to finish this year. He can fill up the stat sheet, but more importantly, he has an insatiable desire to win."
Other selections for the All-Region team were James Batemon III, Gach Gach and Jake Johnson from North Dakota State College of Science, Jamil Jackson from Williston State College, Brody Nieuwsma from Bismarck State and Cedric Boone and Jordan Bolton from Lake Region State College.
