Dawson Reiman Commits to Baseball and Basketball
Dawson Reiman, a two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball, announced his intention to play baseball and basketball for Dawson Community College.
DCC Basketball Coach and Athletic Director Joe Peterson and Baseball Coach Chris Lewis announced their most recent commitment.
Dawson Reiman, a 6’-5” OF/1B/RHP (baseball) and Power Forward (basketball), graduated from Foothills Christian High School in Great Falls, Montana.
DCC Basketball Coach Joe Peterson comments, “Dawson has great potential as a basketball player because of his size, athleticism and work ethic. He hasn't played basketball competitively since high school so he needs to work to get in basketball shape and sharpen his skills, but he has the tools necessary. Off the court, he is a quality young man who will be a great addition to DCC and the community! We are excited he chose Dawson."
DCC Baseball Coach Chris Lewis comments, “It has come full circle with Dawson. I recruited him during my time at NW. It is always good to get a kickback from the 4 year level, because they have had a little taste of what it is like. He is an athletic OF with some bat speed who can run well for his size. We are excited to add him to the program.”
Dawson Reiman on why he chose Dawson CC, “Coach Lewis and Coach Peterson are two great coaches in their respective fields trying to build lasting and successful programs for not only Dawson Community College, but also for the Glendive community, and I want to be a part of that.”
Reiman played Legion baseball for 6 years and was selected All-Conference in the Montana and Alberta Canada region, was a two-time MVP with a .460 BA. Dawson was a four-year letter winner in basketball averaging 20+ points per game and averaged 15 rebounds per game, with All-Conference and All-Tournament selections winning the offensive and defensive MVP his senior year.
