Bucs Baseball Wins 1st Game of the Season
1st year DCC Head Baseball Coach Chris Lewis won his season opener officially against Dakota College at Bottineau in Glendive, MT.
Dawson Community College blew out Dakota College at Bottineau 7-1 on Saturday.
Dakota College at Bottineau took an early lead in the first inning. Legault grounded out, scoring one run.
Dawson Community College knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. A wild pitch by Scheffer scored one run for Dawson Community College.
Dawson Community College took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Andrew Bowles doubled, driving in zero and Kyle Norman laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Dawson Community College scored three runs in the fourth inning. Dawson Community College scored on a stolen base by Trevor Meier.
Killian O'Leary earned the win for Dawson Community College. He pitched four innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, striking out five, and walking zero. Scheffer took the loss for Dakota College at Bottineau. He tossed four innings, allowing six runs, and three hits.
Nathan Davis started the game for Dawson Community College. He tossed three innings, surrendering one run, three hits, striking out three, and walking one.
Bowles led Dawson Community College with two hits in three at bats.
