Head Coach Chris Lewis had this to say of his recent signee, “We are really excited that Zane has decided to join the Buccaneer Baseball Family. He is a great young man who comes from a great family. As a person, he will fit right into our program. He is mentally tough and understands what discipline means. He comes from an outstanding high school program at Fruitland where Coach Wright does an outstanding job. Zane is a smart baseball player, good athlete and knows what it means to be a good teammate.”
Zane had his comments about signing with DCC, “I have attended Fruitland High School for all four years where I have played football, baseball, and basketball. In baseball, I have played short-stop, second base, and pitcher. I also lettered in baseball all four years. I plan on attending Dawson Community College next because of their biology program, baseball program, and I want to be the first person in my family to earn a degree. The town of Glendive is just like Fruitland, so I feel like it will not be that hard of an adjustment. Also, I feel like I will be able to get help from professors because of the size of the school.”
