DCC Baseball adds two more for fall
Matt Strizich – OF – The Dalles High School – The Dalles, Oregon
Matt Strizich, a 2016 graduate of The Dalles High School in The Dalles, Oregon, will be joining DCC Baseball this fall. The outfielder hails from a baseball program with a rich tradition in the state of Oregon. After high school, Strizich moved to Arizona and played last season with the Tucson Reds in the Tucson Amateur League.
Head Coach Chris Lewis said, “We are excited to have Matt join the program. He will have a shot to compete in the outfield for sure and we look forward to seeing how his bat will transition to college. He was a good hitter in high school and if he can carry that over, he will definitely have a shot to compete.”
Strizich commented, “I wanted to play for DCC because I wanted to reconnect with family I have in Montana. I really think I can make a difference on the team and help win some games and I also think this will be a great start to a college career as a player as well as a student.”
Anthony Good – LHP – Lowry High School – Winnemuca, NV
Anthony Good is a left handed pitcher from Lowry High School in Winnemucca, Nevada. Last summer Good played for the Greater Nevada Badgers.
Coach Lewis added, “It is always great to add left handed pitching to the roster. Anthony will add depth to the bullpen and has a shot to be a change of pace guy in the middle of a game. He puts in the time and has a good work ethic which is vital for a bullpen arm. It will be fun to see how he grows into his own.”
Good was excited, “I am thankful for the opportunity I have to be able to continue to play baseball at the next level and I want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point. I think DCC was a great selection for me as it gives me the opportunity to continue my studies and play baseball. DCC was an easy pick because it is close to my family members in Montana and I’ve heard only good things about the school.”
