Dylan Sturm of Nebraska commits to Bucs Baseball
Bucs baseball Coach Chris Lewis is excited to add another arm to the staff for the 2017-18 season with the addition of right hander Dylan Sturm. Sturm comes from the baseball rich area of Omaha, Nebraska. Sturm attended Millard High School, just near Omaha. He played for the Millard Sox Legion baseball team for the past three seasons. This current summer he has pitched his way to two complete games, recording five wins over 47 innings and has complied 56 strikeouts with the playoff push ready to begin in late July.
Lewis said, “What Dylan already possess as an athlete makes him very intriguing over the next two years. It was also nice to land an arm from the Omaha area where you know players are getting quality competition on a daily basis.”
According to Dylan, he chose DCC because “The smaller school atmosphere will allow more focus in the classroom and on the baseball field. The small classroom size is something that will be new to me, coming from a big city, but it is something that really appeals to me. I’m also excited to contribute to the baseball program in whatever way possible.”
