Lady Bucs Sweep Lady Jacks
This past weekend the Lady Bucs hosted Dakota College at Bottineau. It was a four games series sweep! The Lady Bucs got off to a bit of a slower start on Saturday with scores being 7-0 and 8-0, but Sunday they picked it up with scores of 17-0 and 12-2.
Offensively, five of the Bucs hit for an average of .500 and above. As a team, they hit .415, garnering 44 hits, 15 doubles, two triples, and three homeruns. They had 37 RBI's, 44 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases. Jenna Lloyd, Tatyana Toala, Allie Anderson, Lexi Bradford, and Keira Rodriguez were amongst the .500 and above averages.
Jenna and Allie collectively threw a total of 24 innings. The two only allowed five hits, two runs scored, six walks, and 39 strikeouts. This resulted in an overall ERA of 0.583
Over the course of the week, which included both the Miles and Bottineau series, Allie Anderson received Conference Player and Conference Pitcher of the Week. During a 7-1 week for the Buccaneers she was 13-22 (.591%) at the plate. She had five doubles, nine RBI's, scored five runs, was walked five times, and had zero strikeouts. Allie had a .667% OBP and a slugging percentage of .818%. She appeared in six games on the mound. Pitching 28.2 innings, Anderson compiled a 5-1 record. Facing 119 batters she gave up 18 hits, seven earned runs, had 41 strikeouts and walked 16. She compiled an ERA for the week of 1.709.
The Lady Bucs are headed to Devils Lake, ND, Saturday to play a four game series against Lake Region State College. Games will be on Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00PM CST and Monday 11:00AM and 1:00PM CST.
