Utah Infielder Inks with Softball
The Buccaneers recently announced the signing of infielder, Naihlee Simpson. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2026.
Simpson, the daughter of John and Natalie of Santaquin, UT, will graduate from Salem Hills High School in May.
During her time in high school, she was nominated as the JV Offensive Player of the Year and in 2025, her team took second at State. It was here that she was nominated Honorable Mention All-State.
When asked why she chose Dawson, Simpson said, "I chose Dawson because of the amazing opportunity they are giving me to grow and become the person I want to be. The people and the environment are everything I have hoped for! She also wanted to note that "with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)."
Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about her, "Naihlee is a great addition to our program. She came highly recommended by her coach and I can see why. She brings a lot of athleticism and power to both our offense and our defense. We are looking forward to working with her!"
