Softball Signs Billings Infielder
The Buccaneers recently announced the commitment of infielder, Kianna White. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2026.
White, the daughter of Derick Becktold and Sonya White of Billings, MT, will graduate from Lockwood High School in May.
During her time in high school, Kianna has been a varsity starter since her freshman year. She was the recipient of the MCA Academic All-State award three times and helped her highschool team compete in the state tournament, "This was a large feat as we were such a new softball program in Montana," White stated.
When asked why she chose Dawson, Kianna said, "Growing up in a small community, I appreciate the opportunity to attend a smaller college with a big softball program. After touring DCC and meeting the team, it was evident how hard everyone works to be their best. I immediately felt welcomed and knew I would fit right in. The combination of strong academics and a highly competitive team culture provides the ideal environment for me to continue striving for excellence in both areas."
Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about her, "We are excited that Kianna chose Dawson! She brings a lot of great qualities to the program and to this campus."
