Pro Basketball Games in Glendive this Weekend
Fans have been watching great basketball at the Toepke Center all season long, and now the Glendive community will get a chance to watch high level professional basketball this weekend. The 4 Bears Roar and the Mesquite Desert Dogs will play games at 7:00 pm on Friday night and Saturday night in the Toepke Center on the campus of Dawson Community College.
The Basketball League (TBL), formerly North America Premier Basketball, is a professional basketball league that began operating in North America in 2018 with eight teams, and has since expanded to over 50 teams. The TBL is dedicated to delivering a World Class Professional Basketball experience. They provide communities with a professional basketball team that gives an affordable/quality family entertainment experience. They also afford basketball players the opportunity to make a living playing the game they love, in America. The TBL uses NBA rules, and has seen players move up a long way through the professional ranks.
"The TBL provides a great basketball experience for fans," explained Dawson Coach Joe Peterson. "These guys have played in college and played professionally. They have size, skill, and athleticism. It will be really fun to watch! And the Roar do a great job of making it a great fan experience with games, contests, and promotions. This is something that people won't want to miss out on."
The Roar are a first year franchise based out of New Town, North Dakota. The are currently 11-1 on the young season. Most of their players played at high level Division I schools while they were in college.
The games will be played April 11-12 at 7:00 pm. The doors will open at 5:30 pm. Tickets will be available at the door and will cost $15 for adults and $8 for kids (5 and under are free). Bucs Club passes and gold cards will not be accepted for these games. Half of the ticket proceeds from both nights will go to DCC athletics.
