Game 1
Dawson Community College Softball Claims Victory Over Dakota College at Bottineau
The Lady Buccaneers defeated Dakota College at Bottineau 4-2 on Saturday.
Dawson hit two home runs on the day. Tia Washington had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Mckenzie Harbison went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
DCC had seven hits in the game. Washington, Harbison, and Hemenway each racked up multiple hits for Dawson. Hemenway, Harbison, and Washington each collected two hits to lead Buccaneers.
Deven Creech was the winning pitcher for the Buccaneers. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out six.
Game 2
Dawson Shuts Out Dakota College Again
Alison Eldridge shut down Dakota College at Bottineau, throwing a complete game shutout and leading to a 16-0 victory on Saturday.
Dawson softball launched two home runs on the day. Deven Creech went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Angel Montoya went yard in the second inning.
DCC saw the ball well today, racking up 15 hits in the game. Creech, Tyra Coats, Montoya, Eldridge, Harbison, and Hemenway each had multiple hits for Dawson. Creech went 3-for-4 at the plate.
Eldridge took the win for Dawson.
Game 3
Lady Buccaneers Defeats Lady Jacks in High-Scoring Affair
Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Sunday in a high-scoring affair where bested Dakota College at Bottineau, 11-7. The Buccaneers launched two home runs on the day. Deven Creech had a homer in the first inning. Payten Staley went for the long ball in the second inning.
Dawson Softball tallied 13 hits in the game. Harbison, Staley, and Leishman each collected multiple hits for Dawson Community College Buccaneers. Harbison led Buccaneers with four hits in four at bats.
Creech took the win for DCC. The right-hander surrendered seven runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out seven.
Game 4
Dawson Softball Claims Blow-Out Victory over Dakota
The Lady Buccaneers blew out Dakota College at Bottineau 9-2 on Sunday.
DCC Buccaneers pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Tyra Coats singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Deven Creech singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run for Dawson.
Dawson tallied 11 hits on the day. Kambree Hemenway, Deven Creech, and Mckenzie Harbison all had multiple hits for Buccaneers. Hemenway Buccaneers with three hits in five at bats.
Alison Eldridge was the winning pitcher for Dawson Community College. The righty allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six.
Dawson Head Coach Tami Lagmay stated, “I was very pleased with how we executed offensive this weekend. We did the little things right in all areas of the game to come out with four wins.”
