Game 1
Dawson Softball Downs Lamar Community College, 4-3
Dawson Community College Softball defeated Lamar Community College 4-3 on Thursday. Dawson got things started in the first inning. Shelby Martin was the winning pitcher for the Lady Buccaneers. The righty surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out eight.
Sheridan Wayne took the loss for Lamar Community College. The hurler surrendered four runs on four hits over five and a third innings, striking out six.
Ashlynne Copinga, Angel Montoya, Fallyn Marshall , and Maycen O'Neal each collected one hit to lead the Lady Buccaneers.
Lamar tallied seven hits on the day. Wayne and Katelynne Russell each racked up multiple hits for Lamar Community College.

Arnold Delivers Four Hits To DCC Softball Victory Over Lamar
Riley Arnold was in the zone on Thursday, tallying four hits and leading Dawson Community College to a 10-1 win over Lamar Community College. Arnold singled in the first, singled in the fourth, singled in the fifth, and tripled in the seventh.
In the first inning, Dawson got their offense started. The Lady Buccaneers scored one run when Maycen O'Neal doubled. Dawson tallied four runs in the seventh inning. The Lady Bucs offense in the inning came from a triple by Arnold and a single by Shelby Martin.
Deven Creech got the win for Dawson. Creech lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out two.
Hope Quinones took the loss for Lamar Community College. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking zero.
