Lady Bucs Softball Edge Out North Dakota Science

First Game
Dawson Community College was victorious over North Dakota State College of Science, 4-1.
Dawson got things moving in the first inning, when Maycen O'Neal tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. Shelby Martin was credited with the victory for Dawson. Martin lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out nine and walking zero.
Demi Uffelman took the loss for North Dakota State College of Science. The bulldog surrendered four runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Lady Buccaneers scattered eight hits in the game Maycen O'Neal, Fallyn Marshall, and Shelby Martin each managed multiple hits for Dawson. Martin, Marshall , and O'Neal each managed two hits to lead Dawson.
Noelle Forstner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead North Dakota Science in hits.

Second Game
DCC softball defeats the visiting Lady Wildcats despite allowing 3-Run inning. The Lady Buccaneers
weathered a scare by North Dakota Science in the fourth inning, but Dawson still won 9-5 on Friday. The big inning for ND Science came thanks to walks by Sydney Schott and Demi Uffelman and a single by Mikayla Johnson.
Lady Buccaneers fired up the offense in the second inning, when an error scored one run. Dawson tallied three runs in the third inning. Dawson scored its runs on a home run by Deven Creech.
Deven Creech took the win for Dawson. The pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over three and a third innings. Alexa Kappel threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Schott took the loss for ND Science. The bulldog surrendered seven runs on six hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two.
Dawson socked one home run on the day. Creech went yard in the third inning. Shelby Martin went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Dawson in hits.
North Dakota Science totaled ten hits in the game. Noelle Forstner and Johnson all managed multiple hits for the Lady Wildcats. Forstner led Science with three hits in four at bats.
