Buccaneer Basketball Players Awarded for Academic Excellence
The Dawson Buccaneers had a very successful season on the court, but they also excelled in the classroom. Seven of their players were honored as Academic All-Conference for maintaining a GPA of above 3.0:

Bret Vester
Coach Joe Peterson praised his guys, “I’m really proud of this group for the effort they put into their academic work. College basketball can be very demanding so it is crucial to devote the time necessary to do well in class. They embody what it means to be a student-athlete.”
