Dawson’s Martin Named Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week
Dawson Community College’s Reggie Martin was named the Mon-Dak Conference Player of the Week. Martin led the Bucs to a 3-0 week with a 91-79 win at Miles Community College and home wins over Northwest College 96-61 and Bismarck State College 112-78.
The 6'2" second year guard shot 68% from the field, scoring 44 points, along with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocked shots while playing 64 total minutes. Reggie is from Vivian, Louisiana and he attended North Caddo High School.
Dawson is currently 8-1 overall and 6-1 in conference. They are receiving votes in the National Top 25 poll for NJCAA Division I. Dawson leads the entire country in 3-pointers made. They are also 8th in field goals made, 9th in steals, 12th in turnovers forced and 15th in assists.
The Bucs have a short break in the schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday. Their next games will be in Gillette, Wyoming in the Region IX vs. Region XIII Border Wars where they will play Western Nebraska CC, Casper College and Western Wyoming College on December 3, 4 and 5 respectively.
