Lady Bucs Volleyball Off to a Great Start
The Lady Bucs of Dawson Community College have been very busy over the past couple weeks. Starting off the season with a 6-4 record and winning their first conference game of the season, the Bucs are on a roll. In their opening week, the Bucs went 1-3 at the Butte Tournament but, after that week, the Bucs have started to find their stride and have went 5-1 since with wins against Western Wyoming, Rocky JV, Carroll JV, Dickinson JV and Lake Region.
The Lady Bucs won their first conference game against Lake Region State College in a 3-0 sweep with scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-20. The leaders for the game were Haydin Henschel with 12 kills followed by Nicole Green with 8. Shelby Fronk led the team in assists with 27. Grace Zeier led the team in aces with 3. Henschel also led the team in digs with 21 followed by Zeier with 19. Odessia Linwood and Henschel each had 1 block to add to the win.
The Lady Bucs play North Dakota State College of Science on September 1 for their second conference game of the season.
