Glendive’s Own Aydin Jackson Earns All-American Honors at NJCAA Cross Country Championships
Dawson Community College Sophomore and Dawson County High School graduate Aydin Jackson delivered an exceptional performance at the NJCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, finishing 7th overall to earn All-American honors.
Competing against the best two-year college runners from across the nation, Jackson's finish places him among the elite in NJCAA Division II competition. His strong showing helped lead the Dawson Buccaneers men's team to a 33rd-place national finish, marking one of the program's best overall performances in recent years.
"Aydin proved that when preparation meets opportunity, success follows. He ran with heart," said Head Coach Dempster Jackson. "His performance sets a standard for what it means to be a Buccaneer."
Jackson's accomplishment adds to a growing list of achievements for the DCC Cross Country and Track & Field program, which continues to expand its roster and reputation under Coach Jackson's leadership.
The Buccaneers will remain in Fort Dodge for the NJCAA Half Marathon National Championships on Tuesday, November 11, where Jackson and teammate Clara Haslem will represent Dawson Community College.
