Buccaneers Make Strides in Early Season Races
Lady Bucs excel in 6K debut while Men's squad impresses in first 8K; Jackson sets personal best.
In their first 6K of the season, Lady Buccaneers Clara Haslem, Debra Don't Mix, and Kaydence Stops exceeded expectations with strong performances.
On the men's side, six Buccaneers ran their first-ever 8K with impressive results. Sophomore Aydin Jackson set a new personal record, improving his time by eight seconds.
"When you compare the men's average time against last year's national championship results, they would be ranked 34th, and just one minute four seconds away from breaking into the top 25," said head coach Dempster Jackson. "I feel confident they can improve their average time by more than a minute."
The Buccaneers travel next to Missoula on Friday, September 19th.
