Dawson Gains Heber City Utility
The Buccaneers recently announced the signing of utility player McKenna Olney. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2025.
McKenna, the daughter of Greg and Jennifer Olney of Heber City, Utah, will graduate from Wasatch High School in May 2025.
During her time in high school, McKenna has been involved in a lot of leadership roles. She is the team captain of her travel team, Reign. She also serves as the second counselor in her Young Women's Group, playing a vital role in supporting and guiding young women in her community.
"I chose Dawson so that I can have new experiences in a place where I would feel safe to express myself," Olney stated, "I've heard nothing but amazing things about DCC and I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life."
Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about Olney, "McKenna will be a great person to have on this campus. She embodies a lot of the character qualities that we look for when recruiting these young girls. There's no doubt that she will make a difference here!"
