Price Commits to Utah Tech University

On Wednesday, July 10th Riley Price, freshman from Mesquite, NV, signed with Utah Tech University. Located in St. George, UT, Utah Tech is a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). This Division I conference consists of teams throughout Utah, Texas, California, and Washington.
This past year, Riley was nominated to the 2024 First Team All-Conference Team and the 2024 All Region Team. She was also named the Region XIII MVP. Riley came off of a year having hit 0.327 with an on base percentage of .402. Price had 34 hits, 7 doubles, 6 home runs, and 35 RBI's On the mound, she pitched 184.1 innings, garnering an 18-11 record with three saves. Price only allowed 170 hits, 81 earned runs, 80 walks, and struck out 283 batters. At the end of the season, she was ranked second in all of NJCAA DII for strikeouts. This etched her name into the DCC record books! Riley holds the record for single season strikeouts (283).
Head Coach Casey-May Huff had this to say about Riley, "I am so proud of our Riley! There is no doubt that this is a huge loss for our team this year, but that is the bitter sweet reality of JUCO. Riley earned this opportunity there's no doubt. She was a huge component to our successes this year and I can't thank her enough for the impact she had throughout this program and on this campus. Riley is someone who makes everyone around her better, both on and off the field, Utah Tech is fortunate to have her!"
Price will be headed to Utah this fall where she will continue to study Healthcare Administration.
