18 Dawson Student-Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Honors
With many athletic teams having successful seasons in their respective sport, the Buccaneers also had an outstanding year academically. The NJCAA recognized 18 DCC student-athletes for their success.
A student-athlete must have a 4.0 gpa for the entire year to qualify for First Team, 3.80 to 3.99 for Second Team and 3.60 to 3.79 for Third Team. DCC had 3 First Team recipients, 7 Second Team, and 8 on the Third Team.
Volleyball led the way with 6 selections, followed by softball with 7, women’s basketball 3 and baseball had 2. DCC Academic All-Americans include:
