She is a leader who comes from a winning program. I expect her to come in and fit right in with our culture and provide leadership and experience to our team. It is a great day for Peru State Women’s Basketball adding Olivia Williams to our program! I’m pumped to have her.”
DCC Coach Romeo Lagmay said, “I can’t be happy enough for Olivia. She has been persevering through her career, battling a major injury and transferring schools, but she has stayed the course, and it has paid off. She made our team better and kept our program atop the conference. Olivia graduates with high honors in her degree and I’m sure she will continue to get better improving her athletic skill set.”
Olivia commented, “I want to thank every single one of my coaches that helped me get to this point in my basketball career. A huge shout out to Thomas Dryburgh and Romeo Lagmay, two amazing coaches in the Mon-Dak conference that allowed me to play on hardworking teams that set goals and crushed them. I am thankful to be given an opportunity to play at the next level. But none of it would be possible without all of my great teammates along the way, always making each other better with friendly competition and positive reassurance. Thank you! Peru State I am excited to call you home! I can’t wait for next season! Let’s go BOBCATS!”
