Middle Infielder from Utah to Join Dawson Softball
The Buccaneers recently announced the commitment of middle infielder, Kavamahea Haiola. She will be joining the Buccaneers this upcoming Fall of 2026.
Haiola, the daughter of Kersey and Lani Haiola of West Valley City, UT, will graduate from Bingham High School in May.
During her time in high school, Kava was a four year varsity starter who helped her team take second in the state tournament in 2025 and in that same season she was nominated to the Honorable Mention Team for her region.
When asked why she chose Dawson, Haiola said, " Dawson felt like a home away from home to me. There is a good community behind me there and a great softball program I look forward to coming into."
Head softball coach, Casey-May Huff, had this to say about her, "Kava has a lot of potential to do some great things in our program. She already comes from a great program at Bingham, so I know she knows how to work hard, she's coached well, and has the tools to know how to win."
