Winning Weekend for Lady Bucs Softball

This past weekend Dawson Softball went to Jamestown, ND to play in a four game tournament. They came back with three wins and one loss, dropping the game versus North Dakota Science.
"Science is a tough program," head softball coach Casey-May Huff stated, "they don't make many mistakes and capitalize on teams that do. We played them much better this weekend so I am optimistic about the progress we've made."
The Buc's batting average was 0.339 this weekend, with 37 hits, seven doubles, two triples, and 26 RBI's. They also had a total of 15 stolen bases. The pitchers had an overall ERA of 3.36 on the mound, striking out a total of 35 of the 120 batters faced.
Stocktyn Stevenson and Nekysa Wright both hit 0.500 with Oakley Clark not far behind at 0.455 and Shaeley Noel at 0.429. Stevenson posted seven hits and Wright had six. Wright had six RBI's with four stolen bases and Shelby Blankenship was right behind her with three stolen bases. Blankenship now has 10 stolen bases on the year in just eight games.
Dawson softball will head to Scottsbluff, NE on February 28th where they will face Western Nebraska Community College in a four game series.
