Pitcher Heather Berrett voted Region XIII MVP

Dawson Community College freshman pitcher Heather Berrett, from Skyridge High School, received the NJCAA 2023 Region XIII Tournament MVP. Heather was 2-0 in the region tournament pitching 18.2 innings, 26 strikeouts, and ERA 2.62. Coach Lagmay said "I am extremely proud of Heather for earning this award. She had a great regional tournament. Coach Casey has done an outstanding job developing her weekly and putting in the time to make Heather great.
Heather and the Lady Bucs will be off to the District Championship Series in Iowa on Friday, May 12th with a doubleheader and then Game 3 if necessary will be on Saturday, May 13th at 12:00 noon.
The winner of the series will automatically qualify for nationals.
