Dawson’s Fishell Signs with Dickinson State
5'11 guard from Scobey, MT, Aidan Fishell, signs with Dickinson State. Fishell has spent the past two seasons at Dawson Community College, helping the Buccaneers go 51-14. This past season Fishell averaged 7.7 points per game and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 82% from the free throw line. He averaged 22.4 minutes per game and started 28 of the 32 games.
Fishell commented, "I am blessed to have been at Dawson for the last two years. It was the right place for me to develop my game and prepare me for the next level. I can't thank my coaches and teammates enough for pushing me. I'm excited to see what we can accomplish as a team in Dickinson."
Last year, Dickinson State went to the North Star Athletic Association Championship Game before falling to Mayville State. Fishell will join two other former Buccaneers playing for the Blue Hawks, Kose Egbule (all-conference) and Cordell Stinson.
"I'm excited for Fish to find a home," shared Dawson Coach Joe Peterson. "Coach Selvig is a very good coach. Dickinson had a good year last year and are trending upwards. I know Fish will come in and make an impact with his ability to get into the lane and make plays."
