Bio
Coach Dru Sebastian began his role as pitching coach at DCC in October, 2018. He holds an Associate’s degree from Owens Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Sebastian comes from Ivy Tech Community College Northeast in Fort Wayne, IN where he served as the pitching coach in the Spring 2018 season. In their inaugural season, he helped to lead the program to a 25-18 record, highlighted by a 15-4 victory on the road at #2 nationally ranked NJCAA DII program Kellogg Community College. His staff held Kellogg to one Earned Run in the victory.
Prior to Ivy Tech, Sebastian coached three summers on the summer ball circuit for the Mizuno Indiana Elite and the Summit City Sluggers, coaching 8 future division 1 athletes and mentoring numerous other future collegiate players. This also included five Indiana North/South All-Stars.
Sebastian began his playing career pitching two seasons at Owens Community College in Perrysburg, OH from 2013 to 2014. Sebastian then transferred to Indiana University Purdue University- Fort Wayne, where he played from 2015-17 and was a member of the two winningest seasons in program history in 2015 & 2016 in which they reached the conference championship game both years.
