Dawson Buccaneers Nationally Ranked for Academic Success

The National Junior College Athletic Association released the 2024-25 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes and teams across the country for their dedication in the classroom.

The Dawson Community College athletic program was prevalent among the leaders in the nation with 9 different teams being honored in the top 50 programs in their respective sport. Four Dawson teams made the top 10.

Here are the rankings of the DCC programs who were honored:

Women's Indoor Track was #6 out of over 100 teams (3.35)
Men's Basketball was #7 out of over 400 teams (3.49)
Men's Indoor Track was #10 out of over 100 teams (3.11)
Women's Outdoor Track was #10 out of over 250 teams (3.47)
Softball was #30 out of over 350 teams (3.65)
Baseball was #38 out of over 400 teams (3.44)
Women's Basketball was #39 out of over 375 teams (3.43)
Volleyball was #40 out of over 325 teams (3.58)
Women's Cross Country was #44 out of over 300 teams (3.36)
