Lexi Begger, a 6’1” Freshman from Wibaux, MT, earned All-Conference and All-Region recognition this past season for the Dawson Community College Lady Bucs Volleyball team. Begger ended the season with 153 kills in 65 sets and averaged 2.35 kills per set. Begger had a hitting percentage of .266 and 37 blocks on the season. Out of Begger’s 37 blocks, 29 were solo.
DCC Volleyball Coach Dina Fritz had this to say about Begger, “Lexi gave us a lot of energy throughout the season. Even when she was hurt she would always come into practice and games and try to be vocal and give energy to the girls. Lexi provided us with great offense and great defense, along with her positive attitude. I’m excited to see what the next year will bring for her and our program.”
After a four year hiatus, DCC re-instated their volleyball program this past season. In their first season back, the Lady Bucs won 11 games and placed 2nd at Sub Regional Tournament in October. The All-Conference team includes the top 8 players from the Mon-Dak Conference and the All-Region team includes the top 13 players from Region XIII.
