DCC Volleyball Wins First Conference Match Against Lake Region State College

The Lady Bucs of Dawson Community College won their first conference game against the Lady Royals of Lake Region State College in their second home game of the season.  The Lady Bucs came out very strong in the opening set and went on a small run to start the game out.  It was good bounce back game after a hard loss to MCC on Friday.  They were ready to go in this game, sweeping LRSC three sets to zero with scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-20.  The Bucs played clean and kept their errors to a minimum the first two sets.  After the ten minute intermission, the Lady Bucs came out a little slow and allowed the Royals to go point for point with them until they eventually pulled away late in the set.  The team piled up 40 kills in the match.  Channa Clarin had 13 and Ebonay Clark finished with 7.  Lexi Begger was not far behind with 6 kills.  Erin Campbell racked up 16 digs and Cierra Loudon ended the game with 12 digs.  Erica Reynoso finished with 3 aces and Sam Egan tallied 26 assists.  Clarin and Begger each finished with 2 blocks that came at the end of the second set and in the third.

The Lady Bucs will travel to Sheridan over the weekend to play against Central Wyoming, Sheridan College, and Miles Community College once again.  The next home game for the DCC Lady Bucs will be September 6th as they take on Bismarck State College.
