After a tough 3 point loss to Rocky Mountain College JV, Dawson Community College Women’s Basketball Team played Little Big Horn College in Crow Agency, and did not take them lightly. DCC defeated the Lady Rams 100-52.
The Lady Buccaneers wasted no time in playing their full court man to man press and not letting up till they felt comfortable to when the Lady Rams were not in range to make it a game. The first half score was 55-34 in favor of the Lady Bucs, and in the second half continued at the same pace. Head Coach Romeo Lagmay, Jr. commented, “Our team needed to stay focused after a tough loss in Billings. I told the ladies they must win almost every quarter if they want to win more ball games. So we decided as a team to come out and dominate as much as possible despite missing 3 players on the roster. We discussed as a team that we need to focus on reliability and make a commitment to those who are all in and ready to play. It got sloppy at times, but our team play was able to calm down and control the tempo in the end.”
Julia Robarge continued her scoring rampage with a game high of 28 points along with 9 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Alexius Foster scored 20 points with 4 steals. Lexia Bell-White had a double double of 19 points and 11 rebounds with 3 steals. Emily Harwood chipped in with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
